The eagle is the symbol of beautyBeauty (mma) is closely associated with goodness and its recognition. Ọ dị mma means “it is good/well,” ọ ka mma means “it surpasses good,” i.e. "it is better" while ọ mara mma means “it is beautiful.” The expression mara mma literally links beauty with knowing or recognizing 'mma' (good/goodness). Thus, beauty is not merely an aesthetic quality; linguistically, it is connected to an awareness, apprehension, or manifestation of what is good. & honour among the Igbos which is why titled men wear the quill feather of the eagle on their caps.
