The Afamefuna Project

The idea behind this project is to build a repository of and preserve the meaning of Igbo names. This goes beyond archiving conventional Igbo names or suggesting baby names — we seek to understand the onomastics of older names that often make up our surnames. We hope this becomes a platform you can trust for Igbo names.
